Differences between the Ram 1500 vs Ram 2500

The Ram 1500 and Ram 2500 are both similar looking 4x4 trucks built to be durable, rugged off-road trucks. However, the Ram 1500 is a light-duty truck and the Ram 2500 is a heavy-duty truck. They also both have different engines, off-road features, towing capabilities and prices. Not sure which of these trucks to choose? Vehicle Performance

The pickup truck is perfect for drivers in BC that want a rugged vehicle. They can easily haul anything you want while also looking gorgeous when driving down the road. When it comes to pickup trucks, there is simply no beating the RAM brand. While other popular manufacturers make several different vehicle categories, RAM only focuses on building the best pickup trucks possible. This means the 2019 RAM 1500 and 2018 RAM 2500 are both the top choices for anyone in the market for a new pickup.

It wouldn't make a lot of sense to buy a new truck, if it could not provide excellent strength and performance. The 2019 RAM 1500 comes equipped with a 3.6-litre V-6 engine that delivers 305 horsepower and 269 pounds of torque. This powerful engine allows the new RAM 1500 to haul up to 6,730 pounds.

If you want a little more power, then you should choose the 2018 RAM 2500. It has a 6.7-litre 1-6 engines delivers 383 horsepower and 400 pounds of torque. You will also be able to haul up to 11,890 pounds on the trailer hitch of the RAM 2500. See also the Ram 3500.

Appearance

Both trucks are made by the same company, but the RAM 1500 and RAM 2500 look completely different on the road. The basic RAM 1500 features a quad cab, which can comfortably seat six passengers thanks to its four full doors. The basic RAM 2500 has a regular cab, so it will only be able seat up to three people. Both pickups are essentially the same height, length and width despite the extended cab on the 2019 RAM 1500.

The only other visual differences are the wheels and window tinting. The RAM 1500 has 18-inch wheels and deeply tinted windows. The 2018 RAM 2500 has 17-inch wheels and lightly tinted windows.

Ram Features

Since both of these pickup trucks are made by RAM, they offer a lot of the same features. Some of the entertainment features that you will find on both vehicles are satellite radio, Bluetooth calling, voice recognition software, cruise control, an LCD touchscreen and a console-mounted CD player.

You'll also get several great safety features when buying the 2019 RAM 1500 or 2018 RAM 2500: Parallel parking assisting, seat belt pretensions, stability control and a low tire pressure warning system are just a few of these safety features. Keyless entry with a proximity key is the only feature that you can only find on the 2019 RAM 1500.
